Regional
Educators Program - works with the African Nova Scotian
community and education system, monitoring and providing supports that
encourage a more inclusive environment for learning. Learn more
Math Camp - one-week provincial camps for
junior and senior high school students. These camps promote both
academic and individual growth. They are hosted by Dalhousie,
Acadia, and Cape Breton universities.
Historical Literature - publishing books such as
Beneath the Clouds of the Promised Land Vols 1 and 2.
National Council of Black Educators Canada Conference
(NCBEC) - BEA co-hosted a National Black Educators Conference in
Halifax.
Advocates for Black Teachers - the BEA works in
collaboration with school boards and the Teacher's Union around issues
of employment equity.
Adult Education - academic skills upgrading
classes using the NSSAL department of Education approved curriculum. Learn more
Support for Education Committees - comprised of
various community members who assist in the educational outcomes of our
communities.
Cultural Academic Enrichment Programs - comprised
of peer tutors, subject specialists, and coordinators, assisting Black
learners develop their skills and abilities. Learn
